It’s Good Friday for those celebrating the Christian tradition. I don’t have much to say about the occasion. There is a song that is perfect for this day. It’s often called “Never Said a Mumbling Word” or “Whupped Him Up the Hill.” Lead Belly is typically given credit for the song but it’s almost certainly much older. It’s been covered by Nirvana and my favorite version was recorded by Charlie Parr. You can hear my version here.
