I never sat with the cool kids in the cafeteria. I was a weird kid. While everyone else was couple skating around the rink to the latest pop ballad or head banging in the back of the station wagon to some crunchy metal, I was listening to weird folk music. I have always loved weird folk music.
My new record is all originals, delivered with a voice and a guitar. There is nothing flashy or elaborate with the production. It is one microphone and a song.
If you ate lunch with the cool kids, this isn’t for you. If you were the fat kid, the nerd, a loser, or a freak, this record is for you. All of us oddballs grew up to be weird folk.
